Origin

Philippins martial arts are known under the terms of Kali, Arnis or Eskrima.

Practised in a warlike way, they are complete combat systems, they take into account all combat distances and are also appreciated for their completely sophisticated weapon technics such as the stick or the knife.

One of the characteristics of these disciplines is to start directly by using weapons, at the opposite of most of the other martial arts.

This way allows the learner to go directly to the essential, putting his/her psychomobility under stress (almost real situation).

Authentic regular practice allows the learner to immediately integrate the instinctive rules of defense and attack required in every confrontation or challenge. These acquired skilfulness, these technics and rules could also be applied in a weaponless combat keeping the same forms of the body

Belgian Arnis...

This system has been founded by Guro MONOSI Germano, C.N 5 ième dan (Federation Euro Budo Belgium - Federation Euro Budo Germany) based on his own experience.

It is a complete warlike art, working on all combat distances through the use of the stick (60 cm and 40 cm) and also the knife as well as pedagogical means. Moreover this art also includes two schools based on bare hands (feet, fists, elbows, knees, locks, projections,..).

The Belgian Arnis has no fixed form. The purpose is, by the same token an individual manner and through the use of selected educational exercises, to guide the learner in his/her personal quest for efficiency.

The real value of a warrior appears to the fore especially through his/her instinctive ability to react a random aggression. The Belgian Arnis favours pedagogical progress adapted to each learner. The long lasting rules of conduct are simply spiritual as well as bodily practice involvement

Quality rather than the quantity!

The Belgian Arnis looks for fluidity, accuracy and adaptability to the combat through the acquisition of reactions, leading the learner to a real efficiency.

Competences rather than knowledge!
